Hi guys!

I am looking around the internet for a forum implementation to build my website around and upon and WWF looks interesting. I have a few questions though.

First of all I want to be able to build my website *around* the forum. I don't want the code for my website to be a modification of the forum code, rather I want to be able to have my code interface with it. I have checked the WWF API out and it does not meet my needs. What other options does WWF offer to facilitate this?

Also, I want to be able to copy code from within the forum implementation to build my own external code upon. Which license should I choose in order to be allowed to do this?

Lastly, I want the forum to offer flexibility when it comes to site design. What kind of templating mechanisms does WWF offer?

Thanks in advance!

Which API are you referring to, as there are two API's the existing member API which is a quick and easy way to integrate your forum with an existing member system, or the more powerful HTTP XML API?

Any of the paid licenses allow you to modify the code.

To integrate Web Wiz Forums into your own website design you can use the header.asp and footer.asp file found in the includes folder as well as changing the CSS files and images used.

Thanks for helping me out!

I am still a bit uncertain if WebWizForums can meet my needs. Let me clarify:

I want to be able to add and remove content on pages internal to the forum. I also want to be able to change the layout, not just the looks of those pages. In short, I need to be able to rewrite their html-code. Can I do this without modifying the WebWizForums codebase? Does the skinning mechanism allow this?

Probably the easiest thing to do is download it and see if it meets your needs. It's free to download.
