Hi guys, I was just wondering is it possible using VB6 to connect to a remote SQL/Access database, for example a user uses my program to connect to a database located on a webserver

SQL is no proble, with Access it gets a bit more tricky. An easy way would be using a technology that reads the data to a temp. local store like XML, do the changes and post it back, is faster then using some remote technologies.

Yes it is easy to connect to a remote SQL Server Database.

No it is not easy to connect to a remote Access database.

There are examples all over the net on connection strings. Here's one:
