Problem with Signatures in Profiles

I am seeing a problem with the links in the signatures of members in the profile section.

If you set up a signature with the following.

[URL=http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profile.html?num=593618]My Junk[/URL]

THEN save it... it turns to this

[URL=http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profilelnum=593618]My Junk[/URL]

As you can see the profile.html?num has been changed to profilelnum=593618

This breaks the link. Is there a fix for this.

That being the case, then why can I place a link in the body of this message with those filtered items?

I don't see how this make's the app more secure. I am sure someone will tell me why, but it makes no sense to me, since I can do this,

But I can't place it in a signature?

Also, I noticed, if you have LESS than 150 chars in a signature in the profile, it DOES NOT do this.
