What is getstring method?

I've heard in asp you can speed up data retrieval from a db with the GetString method. Is this true? If so how?

...and i've noticed lately that you have been asking questions that you could easily find answers to by searching on Google or some other search engine. If you want us to do the searching for you, then i guess that's fine. But, i think you may get quicker answers to easy questions if you just look on google first or do a search in WWG.
