acctually, i was thinking...

... if theres still features you (borg) want to add, plan it out, do the database changes and then wait till after v8 has been released before you code the features.

just a suggestion, could make V8 come out quicker, and still have the advanced features your keen to add

Suggestion:  When using the button, I'd like to paste in the whole URL I have in the clipboard, including the "HTTP://" part.  As it stands, after each paste, I need to edit-out that part of the text.  I like the way 7.9x does it.

I also just realized that I can use the [ img ] and [ /img ] tags, even if you don't have them enabled in the text editor.

Another suggestion:  For admins who can see the IP address of the poster.  On the page that is linked by the IP, add a button to an external link that will provide all-kinds of DNS and owner info on that IP (http://centralops.net/co/DomainDossier.aspx or http://www.webyield.net/domainquery.html)

At the very least, do a reverse DNS look-up on the IP address.

At the moment the main objective is to get version 8 out as soon as possible.

You can always add more features, for evermore, but then version 8 would never be released.

Many thanks to everyone for all the suggestions and hopefully many of you will see the features you mention in the new version, and those that don't, sorry maybe you'll see these features in future versions.

For now this topic will be locked as an official stop point so that version 8 can be packaged up and prepared for the upcoming Release Candidate 1 version.
