Hello,

I will be using Fernan82 mod to use the permissions system in WWF to secure my members area.

But, I will need many more fields for my members in this area. There are not a lot of members, only the NGO founders and coleagues.

So, what's the best:

1- use another DB and put them there manually?

2- create another table in WWF to do this and link it with tblAuthor?

3- create the extra fields in tblAuthor?

I don't want to add many fields in the tblAuthor table of WWF because 95% of my visitors would not use them and I think my DB would be much bigger with a lot of deadweigth from 95% of the users.

Thanks people!

Probally the easiest and most efficent way as far as coding and speed of the script would be to add the fields to the tblAuthor table, but like you said, this will also increase the size of your database. So if you can afford the database size, I would say go with that for a solution. Otherwise you will have to do some coding with the unique ID in another table to bind the two together and it can get quite messy. I tried it already (I had a similar problem), and it wasn't fun and I ended up giving up on it all together and just adding the fields to the current table.
