was checking out the web and found similar products.

these are the 2 that caught my eye

1. htmlarea. - Okay
2. pinEdit - Excellent

pinEdit has made WYSIWYG more exciting by making the text area look extremely good like Office 2003.

Can the developer/s check this out and maybe improve this so that everyone around the globe who love this (RTE) can benefit.

The idea behind the web wiz RTE wasn't to make a copy of Office 2003, but to make a WYSIWYG editor for the Web Wiz Forums application back in 2001 before there were any other RTE's available.

pinEdit costs from $348 USD compared to the Web Wiz RTE that is free for the linkware version and a paid version form less than $20 USD.

If I had enough time to devote all my time to witting the RTE, it could be improved, but as I run and write all the applications on this site on my own I don't have the time. Also if I spent all my time on the RTE the price would also be about the same as pinEdit.

The most popular application is the web wiz forum which I need to devote more time to, so the RTE has been developed with enough function to work well in all the applications from this site, but also can be used by others in their own projects.

I have looked at other editors and have got other ideas, but I also found that allot of editors that had loads of features where also slow to load and hogged allot of bandwidth.

As the web wiz RTE is to be used as an editor in things like web wiz forums I wanted to keep the file sizes as small as possible so that it would load quickly and not hog loads of bandwidth.
