To me that would be a security issue as I don't want people seeing who are members that are not registered or logged on

Yeah, This would be a security issue I suppose ive intergrated newsposting with the user database of the forum so if someone wants to see a 'writer' then they can do so without logging on.

i would recommend hiding things like email address and IM info for guests, to stop spam havesting
