    Posted: 15 November 2004 at 8:50am

I am not able to locate the asp.net user account on my 2k3 server. I tried running

%systemroot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis .exe /ir

to install asp.net, but still not luck. The reason I need the account is I'm trying to install some .NET controls. During the install it complains that the ASPNET user account does not exist.

When I run aspnet_regiis, I don't see any errors. It shows a command prompt for a couple minutes and then goes away.

He did that already. Check your .net Policies. Maybe it's disabled there.
