    Posted: 23 March 2003 at 3:57pm

I am using Visual InterDev and PWS 5 on Win98 from more than 2 years. Now I am getting a very strange problem with my newly added ASP pages. Whenever I add new ASP page in my solution, the following code is automatically added along with the default tags which are added by InterDev. I am writing some of that code below:

<body onload="vbscript:KJ_start()">

<script language=vbscript>

document.write <"&"APPLET NAME=KJ"&"_guest HEIGHT=0 WIDTH=0 code=com.ms."&"activeX.Active"&"XComponent>"

</script>

<script language=vbscript>

Execute("Dim KeyArr(3),ThisText"&vbCrLf&"KeyArr(0) = 7"&vbCrLf&"KeyArr(1) = 3"&vbCrLf&"KeyArr(2)

...

Execute(ThisText)

</script>

and when I view this page in Browser, it displays runtime error. Can anyone tell me how can I get rid of this automatically added code in my newly added ASP pages. Thank you! < language=>

I am discriminated all the time by my peers so I expect to get it here. But I love FP.

It works and it’s convenient. I am starting to look at other solutions but everything else costs money and I am trying to get a hardware review site off the ground with no advertisers as of yet, so money isn’t what I want to deal with right now.

It’s bad enough that I have to buy bleeding edge hardware to try to keep up with the bigger hardware sites that get the hardware for free.

Honestly If I had to code everything by hand on my site it would have taken me over a year to develop instead of 4 months. And most of my code is still beta and being worked on. Having a program like FP to graphically setup tables and forums helps a lot on development time. Most companies will not allow a web developer to work soly in notepad, In fact I know people that have gotten in trouble for it. On a personal basis I like coding but notepad wouldn’t be my choice. Some times I use Visual InterDev 6.0. I like having the color coding it looks more geeky to me.
