Unable to insert RTE data to SQL table

I want to save code of my ASP pages in SQL table, so that whole HTML for all pages I store can be displayed to client browser using ADO. For this, I have just downloaded RTE and copied all ASP code from my ASP Editor to RTE TEXTAREA. When I see the table after submitting the FORM, there is no single character of that ASP I copied is saved.

field name: page_contents
data type: text (16)

Neither I am able to see the data if I copy ASP code from ASP Editor and then paste it directly in SQL field in Enterprise Manager. Am I doing something wrong? or how can I easily copy the ASP code into SQL table field. Please help.
