member list and statistics error!!!!

I use "Web Wiz Forums Version 8.02", the member list and statistics in font page do not display list of member, Only the actvie member can see himself, he did not see other online, the others always is offline.

Please help to fix this problem.

You may have a corrupted file so try reuploading first.

If your server can not hold session and application data and you are having to use the database to store session data, then the active users list may not work, and you will need to disable this option from the admin control panel.

There is an interesting thing. One Account was used to login with FireFox Other with Internet Explorer in the same PC. Although there are two  online members, we only see the late member.

I also tried with other computer in my domitory (all of us using the same IP), only the last member logged in was online. I tried with two PC with two IP, I can see two members.

What I should change to see these members using the same IP?

OK, now I see the problem.

Becuase HTTP is a stateless protocol, meaning as soon as the web page is downloaded the user is disconnected, it is very difficult to actualy track who is online, and who has left the forum.

To get the active users to work you need to use workarounds and compromises.

The Active Users tracks users via the IP address they use, keeping a track of them for 15 minutes after their last activity.

In 99.9% of cases people will be using different IP address, so this system isn't a problem, but in your case if you use the same IP address you will not be able to be tracked correctly within the forum's active users system.
