From the Readme.txt file in the latest RTE release...

1. Due to problems that image, link, etc. paths can course[sic], the RTE files, and sub folders, need to be placed in the same folder as contains the web page you wish to include the RTE within.

Okay... I'm usually not this dense but I really don't understand this which may have an adverse effect on my question.

if I put all of the RTE files in /RTE/ and want to call this app from the root or a different sub folder... is the ReadMe suggesting that the path's will be screwed up on save? -- I know, I should test it, read the error and then fix the error but I thought I would ask people who may have some experience with this issue.

Why am I asking? I would like to have several features of my website call the features and functions of RTE without requiring RTE to be placed in each feature folder. For example, blog/ news/ gallery/ calendar/ contacts/ mailinglist/ admin/ support/ etc would all share the resources of RTE/ and I would like to keep just one folder and set of files so upgrades and modifications can be made universally.

Is this making sense? More importantly, is this possible?

Thanks to all the web wizards out there.

This means that the RTE files can not be placed in their own folder and must be placed in the same folder as the file you wish to include the RTE within

There isn't I spent many weeks trying to make the RTE work in it's own folder and still be simple to setup and install, but eventually had to admit defeat.

The new office is still getting there slowly, still trying to setup a Windows 2k3 Small Business Server so I can configure remote access, exchange server, and file sharing.
