I have just been going through some issue with register fly with a few domain names I have.

1. They took my payment for a domain name and then never registered it.
2. They do not reply to support requests or just delete them.
3. They are not allowing me to transfer my domain name to another register.

For anybody out there, do not use registerfly as they are a bunch of theives.

Any ideas how I can transfer a domain name? GoDaddy come back with

However, the current status of the above domain name(s) is: clientUpdateProhibited, clientTransferProhibited, clientDeleteProhibited

Which seams like they are blocking it. Any ideas?

Seems like the domain name is Locked. Do you have access to manage the domain name atleast? If you do, you can just login, unlock it, and then try transferring it.

If they refuse to transfer the domain contact ICANN and file a complaint. if a company refuses to transfer the domain they can get in BIG trouble with ICANN and possibly get their domain sell rights taken away.

Looks like a lot of people have trouble with them.

Quick Google search brought up their site, and the rest complaints about them.

Specifically this site, towards the hunting down of RegisterFly;

Well... most registrars have a control panel that let you modify your domain name options, like changing the DNS. In order to do that however, you usually have to unlock the domain name first before you can attempt to change the DNS. After reading through that other website though, it looks like that's not the problem. Its just that RegisterFly doesn't want to place nice with their customers.
