Hi,

I'm running webwiz forums in premium mode and have installed the AD mod. The problem is, when I log off windows & then log back in, it comes up with the following error:

What AD Mod? You shouldn't have to install any Active Directory addons since its built into WWF.

Most of the issues when using the active directory login are due to people not fully reading the instructions, such as manually adding accounts, or renaming the built in admin account to the same as their AD login, or setting AD logins as admin accounts. Below are some instructions you need to adhere to:-

'Admin Control Panel - IMPORTANT
'The admin control panel can only be accessed through the built in admin account once Windows Authentication/Active Directory
'is enabled. You would need to point your browser at the 'admin.asp' page and login with the built in admin account credentials.
'Other member accounts can NOT be set as admin accounts once enabled, if you wish to give users extra powers you would need to
'make them moderators. 'Do NOT rename the built in admin account with the same name as your Windows Authentication/Active Directory
'login name.

'IMPORTANT
'Windows Authentication/Active Directory MUST be enabled from a clean install you can NOT change to this type of login at a later stage.
'Do NOT try and import members or add them manually, you MUST let the users be auto added to your forum by the Web Wiz Forums software.

The mod is this one:

Quote Active Directory Integration
Mod Version: 1.1
WWF Version: 9.5 (and should work with previous 9.xx)
Mod Download:
WWF_AD_Integration_MOD_1.1.zip

Mod Author: Jono
Release Date: 25th November 2007

Updated: 5th May 2008
This mod gives better integration with Windows. It will update a user's forum details based on the infomation in AD. It also eliminates the issue caused by change of NT logon name (SAMaccountName), whereby a new account would be created due to the name change.
Please create a new topic in the Web Wiz Forums 9.x Modifications area if you have any problems or questions. Remember to backup your database before installing this MOD!
There is also a full Step-By-Step installation guide (also include in the ZIP) for both Integrated Authentication and Active Directory Integration available here: Installing_Web_Wiz_Forums_within_an_Active_Directory_Domain.zip

It was installed on a clean install so there shouldn't be any problems there.

This appears to be a third party mod, you should post your issue in the topic that you got the mod from as hopefully the person who wrote it would be watching the topic for replies.
