How and where to change to default to default.asp

Hi,
 
May be this is a real bumb question. But I appreciate if anyone can help me in setting the default.asp as the homepage
 
I mean currently if anyone types www.webwizforums.com it automatically shows up www.webwizforums.com/default.asp page
 
Is it possible that if we type www.webwizforums.com it automatically shows default.asp but without  /deafult.asp at the end
 
I was wondering how make that happen.

"/default.asp" is the default page. this means that if you go to "site.com/" it will show "site.com/default.asp".

The only way you can make it show "site.com/" is by just make sure all links point to "/" and not "/default.asp"

That's a browser security issue. MS was really dissed years ago for allowing a site to show one thing in the URL but really be someplace else. Imagine, you see what you THINK is the site you want to be at in the address bar, but it's REALLY another bogus page that does nasty stuff.
In modern browsers, you can't disable that......
