I am new to the forum and am searching for help.  I have recently experienced a virus problem.  I reformatted my hard drive.  Bought new virus software..loaded the software and cleaned my system which registered 1 virus found, 1 virus cleaned.  I use microsoft outlook for email.  My system is somehow sending out emails from me to addressees that I have no idea who they are.  I get mail dameon responses indicating something like addressees mail box full.  or your message contained the following errors.  I never sent one out.  Can anyone shed some light on what I am experiencing.  I have reformatted till blue in the face and virus scanned numerous times.  An help will be appreciated.    gary

could be that someone is just using your address as the "from" address. people can make an email appear that it came from any address that they want.

yup. I'm a webmaster of large russian web-portal with webmaster@bla-bla-bla.com e-mail address. I rec'd hundreds error messages daily during last Sobig.f attack, obviously someone just used my e-mail address in "TO" field. You know, that there stil are some dumbs, who will open everything, came from webmaster@yahoo.com or support@microsoft.com even they have nothing to do with them. Unfortunatelly I have no practical idea how to fight with that. Only one hypotetical solution helped me to survive over these days - just KILL F$%#NG virus-making bastards!!! And I mean IT!

garyd, just set your outlook to delete all incoming msgs with word "error" in subject. (Tools > Message Rules > mail)

I wouldn't do that unless no one EVER sends you a question about an error....
