Was messing with the new under avatar title feature and got this error when I update a members profile.

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E21)
Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.
/forum/register.asp, line 809

This is what I'm inputting in the title minus the quotes of course.

"Mess with me and I'll retire... AGAIN!"

Any ideas?

Didn't even think to check that, long night last night. I guess I took it for granted that the text box max size was the same as the length of the field.

Well Borg you were absolutely right as always. After all the filtering is applied to what I tried to enter, the string is to long to fit in the field. Works now after making the field size bigger. My question now is, how many fields could this sort of thing happen to? Is there any sort of code in place to protect against this?

You need to use the edit profile feature from the admin area to change the admins title as titles, no of posts, delete member, etc. can only be done by admins when editing a profile in admin mode from the admin area or clicking on the edit profile button from the profile screen.
