Questions about how to fix this...
I have the guest account set to allow posting to my help forum. When posting a new or replying to an open topic, the "guest" user is required to enter a name. This in itself is not a problem, but the name the "guest" user chooses to enter in that field is.
Example:
A guest posts a reply to a topic on the board and enters "myusername" in the name field. The problem is that the user name "myusername" belongs to a registered user with moderator status and 4 stars. When the guest clicks Post, it is still accepted as a valid name for the guest.
- Is there a way to put default text, like "Guest" in the name box??
- If not, is there a way to better distinguish between the guest and the registered user when they both post with the same name??
- Or, in a worst case scenario, can the required name field in those two areas be hidden to the guest and be forced to use a specific value, such as "Guest"??
