Database Software - Which One?

Hi Folks,
   Right now I don't really have a database program...I have aspAccessEditor set up on my site and I can use that to create, edit, etc. databases however it lacks some features...
   I was wondering what database program I should use. I am somewhat familiar with Access and my servers don't support MySQL without an extra cost. I do have MySQL but I haven't found any editor that allows me to design databases visually like Microsoft rather than having to design each line in SQL.
   Can someone help me understand how it works if say I bought a database other than Access and wanted to access it with ODBC? How do you do that?

There are several GUI for MySQL. I use MySQL Front, which you can download here.

It is strange that your webhost ask more for a mysql db which most others would offer it for free.

Be aware that there are several important differences between access and mysql and you have to adapt your scrupts acordingly.
