    Posted: 28 August 2006 at 5:08pm
Hi, i've downloaded the wwf 8.03 and is working superb on my localhost.

The problem is that after uploading to the remote server, i'm unable to login to the administrator page. It allows the first login, but does not allow to enter me the admin control panel. It asks for password and image verification, then it says that i don't have sufficient permission. and redirects me to insufficient_permission.asp page

I know, this type of problem has been faced time and again by different user and i've read the forum also.

Accordingly
1> i've verified that my host allows me to save data on application variable
2> i've tried saving variables on database, by chaning ,functions_session_data.asp
3> I'm hosting on w2k3 server(2003) fully patched
4> I've not changed a single code, and has uploaded all the files

But still i can't fix the issue, please help me out, i want to use WWF 8.03 coz  it rocks

Have you tried re-uploading the ASP fiels again?

One of the most common problems is files becoming corrupted during the FTP process.

You have tried everything I could think of except maybe trying another browser.

If you use IE it has a cookie corruption issue, to fix it you need to delete all internet files then delete all cookies.

I'm afraid I can not think of anything else that you could try as you seem to have done everything I can suggest.

the only suggestion left is that you try another hosting company as 1000's of users have no issue with logging into the admin area so it must be something server related.

We even run our own hosting on Windows 2003 servers with Web Wiz Forums pre-installed and never have such issues.

The only older version would be to go back to version 7 which was phased out over 8 months ago and is no-longer supported, has security issues, and is not available any more. All version 7 owners should upgrade to version 8 ASAP.

If as they claim they have 100's of sites running Web Wiz Forums on their servers then most will be running version 8 and they should know what the issue is with their server as to why it's not running.
