   I need a function to clean up some html formatting...

I have use an HTML editor for an pplication I have and now I switch to
another one, standard compliant. The old editor injects some very
complex HTML code (it's HTMLArea, I am sure many people here are
familiar with it) which now I need to strip down the HTML from the old
entries.

Basically, I need to delete all HTML formatting except image and links.
So, the function should check the db field for anything between a
"<" and ">" but "<a href...>" "</a>" or "<img
src...>" ...

I had several trys but it wouldn't work...
