I have two forums on different domains, but the forums share a couple of the forum categorys, so to a search engine this looks like duplicate content.

Will google not index the duplicate content?  Or will it only index one version?  Would it be advisable to stop google indexing one of the versions?

If the domains are different, the search engines will display the content regardless if its duplicate or not.

Sites such as 'mirror sites' get indexed seperatley, as maddog says, because they are seperate domains.
