i tried to delete some messages but in the main forum the number of the general messages goes down.
so how can i delete messages from the forum (cuz i dont have alot of space in my server)and the general meesages will stay and the space in the server will go down.
(sorry for my english :\ its not so good.)

Assuming you are using an Access back end, you MUST run a compact on the database to optimise free space whether deleting posts or not. Deleting records will not free up space without compacting.

download the database, compact it in "DB tools" or something like that and upload it again.

I saw a script to do that in the server itself, no need to download/upload...

but I don't remember where I saw it and don't have the time to look for it... try aspin.com, 101 and etc... I'm sure is out there somewhere.
