is there a product like google desktop search for servers. something which can be acessed by HTTP over the network. Is there a way to make google run off the network?? Im trying to experiment something here but google wont run off the network Evil Smile

Use Indexing Services which comes with Windows. You can insall multiple IFilters like for Adobe. When you go to Computer management they even use a Webform as a sample to search. Very simple and quite good.

Certainly Microsoft released a corporate version of MSN desktop search. It has a different name but I can't remember what it is Embarrassed

it was called enterprise search i think.. not sure.. cant find any result when searching with that
