In this instance you cannot use a domain account, you would have to change the connection string to use Integrated Security, add the IUSR_Machinename account to the database etc.
Try the following from a command prompt:
sqlcmd -Scomputername\sqlexpress -dforum -Uusername -Pyourpassword
This should bring you to a 1> prompt or at least tell you whats wrong.

u canr use \\servername\daabasename ..it is wrong
 
u specify only the server name or IP address..usually best to do it with IP address.. less headache
