I have set up wwf7.4 for test on my site and have had no luck in correcting this problem. Can anyone help?

It reads:

Provider error '80040e4d'

Authentication failed.

/forum/common.asp, line 23

Please help. I really like the forum and my friend wants to use it for his site.

It looks like it could be a database error. Try taking it up with your web hosts they may be able to help you.

Also line 23 of the file in question should contain copyright notice, so make sure you haven't edited the file and that it is not corrupted.

It looks to me to be a serevr problem, either sign up again and hope you get on another server, or hope this time they do give support.
