as a busy forum owner I think its great that you are producing such a fine setup, V7 looks even better than the rest. I run the SQL version and my host only allows admin to be done to the DB via scripts. When I first setup the forum all I had to do was run the forum setup script and away I went. The big question is, why is there not a script out that will upgrade the V6 data to V7 data. Surely I'm not the only one who is in this situation. I've searched everywhere and all the answers are never straight, they are always round the houses. I see there is an upgrade script for the access version on your site.
Can I ever expect an upgrade script or am I expected to loose all my data during the upgrade?
Every other forum I have used has has an upgrade facility, is it something you are going to do, already doing or plan to do in the future? I really am lost now and hope someone can put me straight as I am a bit dissappointed that its not an easy thing to do, whats the point of upgrading if I cant keep the data!.
