I have webwizforums on my website: http://www.ukskating.co.uk/forum

I was wondering if I could have the following setting:

So that you need to post 10 messages before you can post in the forum 'Other Sites' (on my section of the site) - that way you don't get members signing up just to advertise their site.

So new members can post in all parts of the site but only after achieving 10 posts or more they can post in 'other sites'.

If they can view posts in other sites but just are not able to post.

If anybody can help me or tell me how I should go about doing this this then please reply or email me at silva@ukskating.co.uk

You can already do this.
Follow these steps:

1. Create a new member group in your admin panel and set it as a ladder group with Minimum Num of Posts = 10

In this way all user after posting 10 or more post will be promote to this group.

2. After config your forums permissions allowing only this new group to post in 'other sites' section.

In this way only users whit more of 10 post will be able to pos there.

I dont want that though...

What I want is that people can reply to posts in the 'other sites' section regardless of them having below 10 posts, but they can only CREATE there own post if they have 10 posts or above.

Can you still do this using the original Web Wiz settings, or do I need to make some allterations?

You can do this with the group permissions. You will need to edit the permissions for the starting group.

New Topics = No
Relpy to Topis = Yes.

YEs, sure.
Use forums group settings to set permissions you need.

Hi guys.
 
I came to the same idea on my site, so I made starting group Anonymous, when people have less than 10 posts they can not enter certain forums.
 
But I noticed that some members from that group still manage to enter that forums!?  Is it possible?
 
Also when I delete old posts, the number of total posts for user is decresed. Is it a bug or a feature?

Check all your forum permissons as you must have overlooked something.

When posts are deleted post counts are decreased.
