I am trying to install the News script on my site and this is the error I get

Check to see what is going on in the strNewsSQL. Make sure it is correct. Secondly, check out the strAdoNewsConfig. To tell what is the problem, you might have to past the whole page including the SQL Statement..

This is the default install of the script I downloaded from here.  All I did was unzip and make sure the database had the correct permissions.

u need to make sure that your database paths are correct or it won't work

I appologize, I miss understood you before. I downloaded the news app and unzipped the app and tested it out. I did not see any problems. What were you doing exactly that brought that error up. Were you trying to include it in another page of some sort to show the news. If so, is all the includes in that file correct, mainly the common.asp which provides the db connection. Check that part out. If possible, lets see the source and modifications you have done to that file to see what is happening.
