hi everybody.. i want to ask a few questions to the gurus

I have this clasiffieds system wich i want to finish right now.. but i´m trying to implement some mayor changes to the main authentication system, so the posters are gonna be able to have LEVELS.. i´ve  already donne that.

What i need to do by now is to make a queary to the database, so i can ask for the user level .. wich gives the users different rights .. for example.. for C type users i have presetted the ability to post 5 announcements.. for the B type users  have presetted the ability to post 10 announcements.. well, actually that´s what i´m trying to do!.. i really got stucked at this point!.. so if anyone could give me a hand that would be great!!!!

Small Question,

Posting 5 or 10 announcements... Is this option going to be per classified (meaning user1 can post 5 announcements in this classified and he if he goes to next he can post five and so on…..) and are you recording the user id or username in each announcement record? In that case just do a count statement to see if it gives you less than or equal to 5 using his user id or username. If so he can add, else he cannot add.

If this is not so can you provide some more information...

whatz up shrini...i can see your point.. i´m tryin to make him post only 5 ads.. but i wasn´t thinking about restricting the number of replies of the users.. now that i think it would be almost the same way isn´t it?.. well .. i hope you can give me some help since i´m not a guru
