Hi there

I moved my website forum from one ISP (Internet Service Provider) to another.

The forum seems to work fine, except for one small issue, whenever you hover on a forum or sub forum, the url is that forum or subforum with an html extension, and if you then click on the forum/sub forum link, I get an error that says that html page can not be found.

When are these html pages created, and how do I re-create them?

I'm running the free version 10.03

You have enabled URL Rewriting from the SEO page in the admin area.

You would need to either disable it, or if your web host has IIS 7 Rewrite Mod installed, you need to download the Web Wiz Forums URL Rewrite Tool from the download page below:-

okay, so the easiest solution is just to disable it?

That would the easiest.

However, URL Rewriting greatly improves search engine indexing and get your topics listed higher in searches.

If you are hosting on Windows 2008 then your web host should have the IIS 7 Rewrite Mod installed and all you need to do is download the Web Wiz Forums URL Rewrite Tool and upload the web.config file to your forums root folder.

This URL rewrite thing rocks!! I downloaded the URL Rewrite tool from IIS.net, plus the WebWiz URL Tool ZIP file (above), followed the simple directions in the ZIP and I can't believe I had such a hard time setting this up.

Thanks Bruce!!!! Clap
