Problem with database settings

I am currently having a new website designed, and the developers have downloaded the trial version for integration into the site, with the intention being I would pay for full version once we are satisfied it meets all of our requirement.

They are having a problem however configuring the connection to our site database. I have given them full read and write privileges to our daabase, and to the forum database folder, an yet they are still getting an Error message "An Error Occurred Writing the Database Settings File".

They set the forum up on a trial site with no problem, but have had no luck after several attempts on my web hosts site.

Any ideas?

The error is not a database error but a problem with the install wizard writing the configuration settings to the forums 'database' folder.

The forums 'database' folder needs to have read, write, and modify permissions set for the IUSR account that the website is running under in IIS.
