Is it possible to run a forum from two DB sources?
(two different MSSQL DB hosted on two different servers)

if i want to establish duplicated new forum, when the older will stil be updated only by the old domain community but in the new domain it will be updated from both servers (different servers) the old and the newConfused so i will get combined forum withe new & the old community.

  1. forum 1 will be forum 1 (regular)
  2. forum 2 will be forum 2 + forum 1 (combined)
dont care about the differences of TID PID PF etc. from that point on in the new forum

Is this is question on Web Wiz Forums posted in the wrong forum, or a general question on forum software?

I have moved the topic to the Web Wiz Forums support forum.

Unfortunately the answer to your questions, is no you can not write to two databases with web wiz forums.

Not with out months of coding and testing. It is not something that has ever been requested and so is not included.

I don't understand the objective (logically not technically). If you want posts in both databases then logically (referential integrity) the members who posted those posts must also be in both databases.

I thought about MSSQL replication features...but I suspect you need to say more about the goal and also the detail.
