I have seen a lot of applications for pdas that allow the to be used as tv remote controls if they have an infrared port. However i was wondering if anyone knows of a tv remote written in java that will work on my new nokia 6610i

I tried before I posted but I was unlucky. I found one program which wasn't compatible with the phone.

i dont think u can do that on the crappy nokia 6610i for its IR mechanism is pretty limited and that phone sh*ts a lot!!

the IR is also on the side.. very hard to use as remote it u ask me!!

IIRC, nokia has a developers site and forums. You may want to look there.
