Hi folks,

We don't have the latest version of WebWiz (we're not web experts, so require that someone else updates it, at a cost). I suspect we're a couple of versions back, but I can't spot a version page on our specific forum.

Anyway, my question is whether there is a way in the Admin section to search for a username by email address? Every now and then we get a user who forgets their username, but obviously knows their email address.

We upgraded last year and then the search by email was available (HELPED A LOT). Before we had it as part of our forum policy that any contact with the forum staff must include their userid since we didn't have the ability to search by email address. Course if they use a different email address to contact you with, then there will be no match in the database, so userid confirms who they are.

The option to search by email address was added back in version 9 to the admin area.

Upgrading is fairly simple, you just need to following the upgrade instruction son the page below:-
