Here is a script that some may find useful that determines the country of origin of a website visitor from an IP address. It uses the free database from webhosting.info. I understand that there is a question mark over the feasibility of doing this lookup but I have found it reliable so far. At least it's free, unlike many such tools

Thanks, I was looking for a free ip->country database a while ago, all I could find back then where not only not free but expensive!
