Can I hide a category ?

	I know about the "hide topic" option, but is there also a way to hide a whole category ? I would like to hide it to avoid any questions about it, while I'm concidering wether I should re-open it at a later time, or not.

	There is not a 'Hide Category' feature in the same way as you can Hide a Topic, however what you could do is use the permissions system to Hide Forums within that category, if all the forums are hidden then the topic would not display. To do this edit each forum in the Forum Admin area and select the option to hide the forum if the user does not have access to that forum. Then in the permission table remove access to all those groups that you do not want to be able to see the forum.

	that's exactly what we do for our moderator section. We've got two forums in that section - moderator chat and post graveyard. Both are permissions based, only moderators can see them, thus, the section doesn't show to anyone but we mods.
