I'm trying to make my own login in dreamweaver so when someone registers for the site it also registers them to the forums but the the problem I am running into is before I could connect to the database mySQL and see the tables of the forum and a table I created for "user" for registration and login stuff. I can connect to the database through dreamweaver but when I click on tables there is nothing there say like the forum tables should be showing up but theyre not like the way it was just yesterday. I can't figure this out why I'm always denied access to the database when I have a username and password setup correctly.

Also it in the web wiz website panel I go to click on browse database and it asks me for login info so I enter it in and nothing happens usually it auto logs me in.

I think you are maybe going about this the wrong way - see this subject here and it may help you to work this out

I already know how to change those settings. please tell me how I am going about this the wrong way when all I'm doing do is building a reg/login form and trying to connect it to the database tables but non of the tables show up. I think a lot of people misunderstand what I'm trying to do.

Its something to do with the MySQL server because I formatted my SSD and reinstalled windows and then reinstalled DREAMWEAVER and all its updates even the patch update and still no luck.  but now it says this error.
"[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"

yo a mod or Bruce you can delete this topic its not necessary I figured out my problem was trying to connect using asp vbscript or w/e when it needed to be php. Thumbs Up
