I tried to update my forum to using sql server. I use win2003 and MS SQL server 2000 sp2. My authenticate mode is Windows authenticate not SA. I convert my access database to SQL server database using "import export data" -tool. Then I update SQL connections strings to following asp files (common.asp, SQL_server_connection.asp). My other sql server databases just works fine but with this one I always get this error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'

Invalid authorization specification

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SQL server have right permissions to the IUSR. What is wrong?

You need mixed mode, not windows authentication to allow connections to teh SQL server using a TCP/IP connection like an ASP file would use.

Thanks boRg. Thats help me to connect to the sql server but now I have this other error. I didn't find any solution to resolve it.

Here is my error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Could not find stored procedure 'wwfSpSelectConfiguration'.

The SQL server version is different to the Access version, the SQL server version usese stored procedures that need to be created on the SQL server.

To do this you need to run the SQL server setup file that comes with the SQL server version of the forum.

This may course problems with your database creating duplicate entries so you may want to run this file first.

Thanks! It really works! No more IIS errors. Forum works just fine!

How should I move my existing forum data from access mdb-file to the sql server?

I tried to import all tables and five of those tables didn't copy. tblAuthor, tblCategory, tblForum, tblGroup, tblPoll

OK! I build tables using msSQL_server_setup.asp. Then I cleared all cells and copyed all data from mdb-file. Everything going just fine. Only Group-table i have to modified just typing the text.

Now the forum works like it should except Active Topics list. It doesn't show anymore that category where forums permissions are higher->

Here is settings for those forums:

Generic forum permissions
-All is set: Private Groups

Group permissions:
Platinum member (3stars, Non Ladder Group, Null starting group)
Moderator (3stars, Non Ladder Group, Null starting group)

Is this bug or coded to works little bit different like access version?

Forums that are set as private in generic forum permisions will not show in the active topics page.
