Hi,

 I have successfully installed the forum, and everything worked fine.  Until today, I tried to reinstall it with the same way I always do, but I got this erroe message.

I even tried just installed without changing the data file name and path which was working before, but not anymore.  Can anyone tell me what happen?

Are you running your own server..?

If so you have to allow anonymous access and use the IUSR account...

I have windows 2000 server.  Using Access 2000.

ok..it is working now.  the weirdest part is I had to apply the IUSR to the whole forum instead of just database folder and the data itself.  Is there something wrong??

Ok, is this weird?

I tried to reinstall the forum and everything works except this time I didn't even have to do the IUSR to any folder or file just like before.

Is the forum going to be fine without doing the IUSR permission or recommended to do the permission?

if you can access the forum pages from your browser then IUSR has permission to access them files, if it don't then you'll only be able to access the forum locally or iis is set to use another account that has access to the forum files ...

also for security reasons make sure that IUSR don't have write permission to the forum folder (exept for the db and uploads folders)
