I want the ability to be able to easily add customized registration fields and mark both the standard fields and the customized fields as either required or optional.
This first issue is the one that I feel the strongest about. When other people ask me about my suggestions for a forum software, I tell them that WebWiz is good and easy to use, but this issue is a huge drawback. Yes, it is possible to customize WebWiz to provide this functionality, but it requires some serious programming and database knowledge. I'm a network engineer. I don't program, and I'm not a DBA. This customaization of the WebWiz registration is beyond my current skill level and time resources. Other forum software apps (e.g., phpbb) have this capability written into the software out of the box.
I chose WebWiz for my first forum. When I set up a subsequent forum, I chose phpbb for this very reason.
I'd like the ability to prevent new users from viewing certain content (either images or specified forums) based upon their post count.
This is more of a pie-in-the-sky kind of request. I've seen this functionality on another forum. New users were unable to view forum images until they made 10 posts. It was very effective in promoting users to post!
