encoding - problems with "äöü"

Hello,
 
in germany we have some troubles displaying some letters like ä ü ö.
 
They apear as ä or ü
 
Any ideas?
 
Page Encoding is
'Western European ISO
Const strPageEncoding = "iso-8859-1"

If the page encoding that you have set it to is not working then you would need to find one that does work.

Sorry not an expert on page encodings for German so you would need to do some research to findout which one is best. Try looking at some German websites and see what page encoding they use.

This forum uses UTF-8 which seems to show your ä ü ö characters without any problems.

"String"s in vbs, are always unicode, not the origin one.
so there will be some automatic convertions between utf-8 and unicode.
the problems must lay in them.
