	Is it posibel to remove the enryption from Version 7.01.. as this whould make my job much easyer.. im trying to intigrate the forum whit my excisting website database.. YES i what the encryption gone.. dont ask why LOL :) Thx BG

	You can change the function to just output the string that was input. The function is in the functions folder (functions-hash1way.asp) OR You can remove all instances of the function call which should only be where the password is input in a forum (such as login and updating the password) Edited by ljamal

	If you're starting a new forum with a brand new database it should be pretty simple, just do as ljamal said and also make sure you go and change the encrypted admin password to plain text on the db, if you already have a v7.x db with usernames and passwords then you would have to find a way to crack the passwords encryption and change them back to plain text, it's supposed to be one-way encryption so it wont be so simple..........if you're migrating from v6.x then you need to mod the upgrade script so that it doesn't encrypts the passwords.

	encryption sucks.!! but atfter u remove using the metho mentioned by ljamal i guess the salt keep bringing up the problem
