Hi

I was wondering if it were possible to specify a different mail server than the one the forum is installed on.  I currently have the free hosting package from Brinkster and cdonts is not available.   But I have a server at home that's accessible from the web. http://www.ghostnetworks.dynu.com

Can I specify this server as the default mail server for the email configuraton?

You can with email components like CDOSYS, or AspEmail, but then you still need these components installed on your web server.

But let's say the only component allowed will be CDONTS. Can I modify it to this?

Set mailer=server.createobject("ghostnetworks.dynu.com.Mailer")

Or will that crash the forum?
