Hi,

I'm running Web Wiz Forums 5.22 on my site. Somebody asked me if I could change their username. I decided I should rename the wwforum.mdb file while i was changing the username so nobody could update the site while that was happening (in case their posts would be lost). I then saw I couldn't change the username. I renamed the file back to what it was before I changed anything. However, now anybody who visits my site gets an error pointing to the common.asp file.

Please can somebody help so I can return the forum to the way it was. All I did was rename the wwforum.mdb file and rename it back to exactly what it was before..!

It is possible that you had set the database permission at file level. That means you gave full write, modify permissions to the file. Now when you overwrote/renamed the file it is what NTFS concerns not the same file anymore. You might have to reset the permission for that file or rather set it to the whole folder.
80004005 is a permissions error in 99% of all cases.
