I have a problem wako,

I did put your code on a asp page outside the forum:

I received an error message page not found.

I changed in the folder carestel the login_user.asp as you said.

I'm sorry to disturb you.

3BEPb:

I don't know what you mean with: ...and replace SessionID with the actual one for each user.

I didn't replace it. I entered the forum with the message: unsufficient permission.

Can you tell me exactly what I should replace please ?

Thanks !!

Use the Code I posted Only! in green above

try to adjust exactly where your login_user.asp is like so

<form action="carestel/login_user.asp?return=<%=Return%>" name="frmLogin" method="post"

Thanks a lot, it works fine now !!

The only thing I would like to ask is when the user logs out he returns to the loginpage outside the forum.

Many thanks !!

Or just do this open up log_off_user.asp and change this in red to where you want them to go

Response.Buffer = True

'Clear the forum cookie on the users system so the user is no longer logged in
Response.Cookies("Forum")("UID") = strLoggedInUsername & "LOGGED-OFF"
Response.Cookies("PrForum") = ""
Session("ViRead") = ""
Response.Cookies("LPM") = ""

'Reset Server Objects
Set rsCommon = Nothing
adoCon.Close
Set adoCon = Nothing

'Return to the forum
Response.Redirect "default.asp"

to this
