I have version 9.53 running and have run into one problem.  When using the File Manager, File Upload function my browser freezes up after I click on the 'ok' on the dialog after the file is uploaded.  The browser, IE 7, goes into permanent refresh.  I tried it with Safari and the same thing happens, but I can get Safari to stop by hitting the refresh button.
 
Any ideas?  This is my first inquiry on the forum. I hope I didn't put it in the wrong spot.

This sounds very strange.

The first thing to do is try reuploading the files again incase this is a corrupted file coursing the problem.

If that doesn't work try from a different PC as security software especially Norton can course all sorts of weird issues just like this.

Bruce is right you should reupload the software once again.. we have been through this issue you before and something occurs doing the upload that causes the problem.. With the reupload of the of files should fix your problem..
