Hello,

I have turned on the email where they must activate there account my email.  I hav tried to send a test email.  Every time I click the send test button all I get is a blank window.  I am using .53 mssql.

using the codsys I also tried aspemail  this also gives the same results.

The first thing to do is reupload the files again incase a corrupted file is coursing the issue.

Also check with your hosting company the correct email component and what settings you need to use as they may require authentication to relay emails.

I know they use 457 as there outgoing port number.  Does webwiz use default port 25?

also they only allow cod or aspemail. I am going to setup a forums email and change the info to that and see if that works.  But shouldn't I see some kind of text in the test email window even if its an error?

Yes it does, for CDOSYS you can change the port number by editing the functions/functions_send_mail.asp file and change the line below around line 193:-

'SMTP port
.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserverport")  = 25
