Hey all i had on my forums a member of our DF2 squad, but due to circumstances he was forced to leave the squad. I then changed his group status to the ladder group instead of the private group he was in.
Since then he cant login to the forum anymore. I deleted his account created a new 1, and told him to delete the cookies set by the forum and delete his temp. internet files.

But nothing helped. he still keeps getting the error "insufficient acces"  orso. I have enclosed a screenshot of his error.

Somebody know whats wrong?
i have no IP's or enail adresses in my bozo list, so that cant be the problem.

Make sure that cookies are enabled and that the user has done a hard refresh (CTRL -> F5) so that they are not using a cahed copy of the page.

Also if your site is hosted across multiple web servers this error can also happen as a new ASP session will be started if you cross to the oter server so that the user can not be properly authenticated.

Also make sure you are not use IP masking, domain forwording, frames etc. to connect to the forum on your server.

Okay thx Borg i will try that all. PS what is IP masking? like a firewall on the server?

The forum is the only ASP program running on my webserver, untill i got my separate login prog for a members section on the site.

I will let them do the hard refresh in the hope it works. Thx again
